Chris Foster – Managing Director
My mission for Acoustic Applications
is to strive for excellence in everything
we do, in providing cost-effective acoustic
solutions to our customers in order to
reduce harmful hearing damage or loss to
their main asset – their employees.
Acoustic Applications Ltd was established back in 1982 by Stuart Lindsay as a company specialising in the design, manufacture & installation of industrial noise control products & services (which, if you can remember, was when the Commodore-64 was first released in the UK!). I joined as an engineer in the summer of ’95 and then became Engineering Director and co-owner in June 2001.
There have been many changes since then – Stuart has long since retired, giving rise to the birth of Xtron Systems Limited in July 2009, still trading under the name of Acoustic Applications. Our product portfolio & customer base has continued to grow & prosper, providing quality bespoke solutions and an unrivalled level of service in solving noise & environmental problems, for an extensive range of applications worldwide.
Our 35 years’ experience in the industry has given us an enviable reputation and a client list which includes blue chip companies as well as internationally known clients in a number of key sectors, from aerospace, to printing, to pharmaceuticals and beyond.
With a dedicated team from a variety of engineering backgrounds our innovative approach to achieving practical, cost effective solutions in the industrial noise control arena, has enabled us to provide total turnkey solutions for our customers. We can achieve this due to our fully ISO 9001:2008 approved, on site manufacturing facility which has recently also been SCCS Accredited for fabrication & welding of structural steelwork (i.e. for Load Bearing & welded structural steel components up to Execution Class EXC2 according to BS EN 1090-2:2008 + A1:2011).
At Acoustic Applications we pride ourselves in being able to fully understand and deliver complete customer solutions from survey, to design, manufacture, installation and finally commissioning. This can only be achieved with an in depth, sound, engineering knowledge combined with experience over wide ranging industrial sectors and a first rate established quality product.
