MSM ADC Cabins for Mill Dispatch Personnel & Drivers

Dispatch control facilities for steel stock being transported from a medium section mill operated by a world leading steel-maker.

Scope of Works

To design, manufacture, deliver and install the required facilities, these being of approximate overall sizes (from left to right) 4.5m long x 2.0m wide x 2.7m high & 2.5m long x 2.0m wide x 2.7m high.

Design Considerations

Their overall heavy duty construction being suitable for operation in the noisy, dirty & dusty conditions associated with the mill, and fit for purpose in providing a safe working environments for dispatch staff and drivers.
Panel inner fascias in a colour coated galvanised steel substrate for durability, longevity, colour retention, ease of cleaning etc.
Single man access doors for personnel entry / egress and emergency exit, these capable of withstanding the type of heavy industrial use associated with a steel making environment where repeated access and potentially heavy or careless use will be frequent and typical.
Heavy duty refrigeration style door furniture, push rod type safety-glow inside release handles, universal overhead door closers & cranked pull handles (to facilitate closing from within the units).
Double glazed vision panels (utilising both laminated & toughened safety glass).
Floors fully plated over in hot-rolled structural steel Durbar floor plate for strength & durability.
Turnkey packages including the provision of suspended ceilings, modular & emergency lighting, mains power, heating, telecommunications, data transfer services etc.
Fully attenuated fan assisted ventilation (ducting, ceiling mounted diffusers & air return grilles etc. all inclusive).

Acoustic Performance

The cabins provided a 25dB reduction from factory ambient noise levels, allowing dispatch personnel and drivers to effectively communicate in a stress-free, comfortable environment.
